The neutral color palette and generous use of woods create a natural, comfortable feeling that lets you appreciate the magnificent views through the huge windows.

Each functional space has everything you’ll need to feel right at home. The main entertainment area is defined by the giant area rug and filled in with just the right details.

The dining area is usefully tucked in under the stairs and loft. You can see how nice the entryway is and how the entire space is kept bright by the natural lighting from above.

The gorgeous kitchen is beautifully set up to keep things organized. Behind the dining table is the door to the laundry room. How’s that for convenience?

Whenever you’re in the kitchen, you’re still part of the rest of the house. The views of the beauty inside and out over the hills are delightful.

The combination of white, grays and black echoes the home’s theme. I’d like to make a few meals here myself.

The loft is big, but the furnishings are limited to the bed set and a comprehensive walk in closet, help keep the spacious feeling.

Outside on the deck the world opens up in all directions. It’s big enough to make outdoor entertaining a real pleasure. Can you imagine the feeling of serenity in the evening from looking out to the valley and enjoying the glow from other homes and villages and the heavenly light show up above?

You just can’t beat the short trip from the kitchen to the table to keep everything hot and flavorful.

The bathroom is large and, as expected, has generous natural lighting and wonderful decor. To take a shower, just pop through the door in the back of the room.

I’m ready to move in right now, for a visit or as a home. This is a spectacular project. Great job MAYAMESA!

How did your project start?

The nature of this project was a complete redesign of our kitchen through a uniformity with the current living room (realized by our architect Marianne, a few years ago). This project was first conceived to improve the continuity of the space entrance-stay-kitchen in a more contemporary spirit. This project began with the idea of replacing a rather old-fashioned white tile (with a low-temperature heating requirement by the floor) with a tile that would take on the attributes of an oak type parquet floor (light) and offer the new kitchen a more pleasant living space. You will find attached some pictures of the old kitchen, installed about fifteen years ago when the house was built.

What work did you do?

Most of the work consisted of a complete refurbishment of the kitchen area on the basis of parquet floor tiles. The whole kitchen has been redesigned “from scratch”: layout, fittings, electricity, plumbing and paintings on the basis of several scenarios based on a very collective cooperation between Marianne and my wife (I was only an admiring observer – the choice of paintings and colours of the kitchen have been very worked to explore different alternatives in the proportions of white, black and oak. The choice of materials was also crucial to homogenize the heat of the space.

How has HomeByMe helped you in your project?

The use of HomeByMe has been crucial in the choice of layouts and colours. The rendering of the realistic images really allowed to put in situation the communication of the living room and the kitchen space, even if it is always difficult to realize that the realistic images would be as much – It was only after the realisation of this project that we realised the emotional impact that the synthetic images of HomeByMe could have.

However, if we had to make a comment on the use of HomeByMe, we find that it applies more to creation from a blank sheet of paper, favouring inspiration from a very large library of objects; than in a more constrained space where customization becomes an unavoidable and necessary variable. As soon as made-to-measure becomes dominant, it is more difficult to conform more finely to the constraints of manufacture and practicality of the kitchen space: I would say here that it is from this moment that the work of the architecture becomes priceless!

We are proud to announce Spaso is the winner of our project of the month this January! This project was chosen for its unique approach in blending modern and traditional designs together to create the ultimate dream home.

With bright colors and an open layout, this living room is the ideal space for entertaining family and friends. With an open floor layout in the kitchen, dining room, and living room, the space feels open and inviting with plenty of natural light.

Looking next at the kitchen, Spaso incorporated a blend of tradition and modernity to perfectly align with the design of the living room. With wooden accents throughout the kitchen and a large central island – not only is this kitchen stylish, but it is ideal for preparing food!

In the bathroom these wooden accents are also integrated into the design to fit with the rest of the home. As an added bonus there are double vanity sinks which is a great use of the space!

Last, but certainly not least, on the outside of the home there is a beautiful terrace and pool for either entertaining or relaxing after a long week! With a fun outdoor space to complete the home, this project has it all covered.

When looking at this open kitchen and living space plan, the amount of color immediately stands out. The joyful and colorful tones are a common theme in every room and demonstrate the modern and fun atmosphere present throughout the home.

Upon taking a closer look at the kitchen, we can see the bright color theme continues with a yellow accent wall behind the refrigerator. The creative use of space highlighted by a striking stove top island combines style with practicality.

Next to the kitchen there is a home office that is decorated with an eye-catching piece of abstract art on a dark purple accent wall. The bright white furniture and walls bring the room together to make a cozy yet chic work area.

The master bedroom cleverly uses a coral color and hearts in the headboard design to show the intimacy of the room. The pearl white closet and sun inspired art on the wall behind the bed highlights the lazy Sunday morning spirit of the room.

The second bedroom doubles as a playroom and kid’s bedroom, with twin beds maintaining the bright theme present in the master bedroom and a play house for fun and games.

As we circle back to the front door, we end our tour with another view of the relaxing living room. We hope to have a space as bright and colorful as this living room to entertain our guests and show them our “little homes”! As opposed to our colorful last Project of the Month, this month we have a project that leans on the contrast of dark and light. While exploring the project, you can see the juxtaposition of these two shades, be it black furniture with bright walls, or vice versa.

The living room displays the before mentioned contrast. The white sofa stands out from the dark wooden walls and black framed windows. The contrast combined with the simple design makes the room pop.

The kitchen remains constant to the theme, even mixing the cabinets with a combination of dark and light. The double door oven and counter top range give a modern air of class and sophistication.

In between the kitchen and living room is an open plan style dining room. The simplicity of the room is simultaneously sleek and comforting.

The bathroom is highlighted by a gorgeous marble counter with stylish wooden cabinets. The glass shower completes the look.

Finally, let’s end our tour by taking a look at the bedroom. Immediately eye-catching, the room plays off the many contrasts present. The glass wall and mirror, wooden side table, and white walls nicely blend to form a uniquely upscale bedroom.
